The wait is finally over for The Family Man fans, as in less than a month, the second season of their favourite web series will start streaming. A source close to the makers revealed that The Family Man 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 4.
The new season sees the return of Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant Tiwari as he faces a new challenge in Raji, played by Samantha Akkineni. The Family Man 2 trailer was released on Wednesday. The trailer sees Srikant adjusting to his new job and a new boss, tackling his unsettling marriage with his wife Suchitra Iyer Tiwari, played by Priyamani, and missing his old life as an intelligence officer for the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC). Storyline
The crime thriller series shows the story of a middle-class man who works as an intelligence officer for a special unit T.A.S.C of the National Investigation Agency. While he tries to protect the nation from terrorists, he also has to protect his family from the impact of his secretive, high-pressure, and low-paying job.
In the first season, we saw how Manoj and his team try their best to save the nation from a deadly terrorist Mission Zulfiqar. T.A.S.C. realizes that Moosa’s plan is to recreate a gas Tragedy in New Delhi. In the last scene of the first season, the pressure has reached a critical limit and the toxic gases have started leaking. Suddenly, one of the containers bursts open after reaching the critical pressure, and season 1 ends on a cliffhanger. In the second season, Manoj Bajpayee aka Srikant will face a new enemy in the form of Samantha Akkineni (Rajji). This season, the focus shift to Chennai where a new terror threat is rising.
