After Allu Arjun's Pushpa and SS Rajamouli's RRR, it's now time for Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 to set your screens on fire. Quite literally. The first part, KGF: Chapter 1, ended on a high note and managed to keep curiosity alive for over 3.5 years. With KGF: Chapter 2's release today (April 14), Yash and director Prashanth Neel have hit it out of the park once again.

KGF: Chapter 2 Movie Review :

Prashanth Neel’s ‘ambition’ overrides his ‘story-telling’ and that’s the biggest issue of his script. Everything looks extremely cool visually, but the whole argument behind making things cool is weak. It comes with some similar issues as chapter 1 like why is everyone talking so loud with everyone? I wanted to keep a track of how long any scene could be silent but it was so loud, I couldn’t concentrate.

Just to clarify, I don’t mind loudness in films, I’ve loved movies like Master, Rowdy Rathore, Dabangg and likes. But, this one doesn’t just leave your mind numb, but it does the same thing with your ears as well.

Side Bar: A scene censors the word ‘democracy’ changing it to ‘demography’, and I couldn’t help but wonder about the irony of what a democratic society we’re living in.
Bhuvan Gowda’s camerawork elevates the already monumentally mounted action sequences, to a level that’s almost unseen in the Indian film industry.

Yash’s car chase sequence with ‘play & pause’ transitions remains the best highlight of the film owing to its breathtaking cinematography and well-synchronised background score by Ravi Basrur.

But the same Class-A cinematography goes against the feel of the film when it rushes from one place to another in Yash & Sanjay’s combat scenes because as the film’s story, nothing is clear enough to understand anything.

Sanjay Dutt shot KGF Chapter 2 during ‘most vulnerable phase of his life’, says Maanayata Dutt: ' For me he is the hero '

Maanayata Dutt, wife of Sanjay Dutt who plays Adheera in K.G.F: Chapter 2, has shared a special message about him and how he shot for the film during his most difficult times.

Sanjay Dutt is back, this time in a powerful role of Adheera in KGF Chapter 2. As the film released on Thursday, his wife Maanayata Dutt shared a special message about how proud she was of her actor husband. Sanjay plays actor Yash's (character name Rocky) nemesis in the film. Maanayata has called K.G.F: Chapter 2 a very special film in Sanjay’s career. Also read: Prashanth Neel on KGF 3: ‘If people love it, we could continue the franchise’

Sanjay was diagnosed with cancer while he was still working on the film. He took a break to undergo treatment and bounced back to complete his portion of the shoot.

Taking about Sanjay's personal struggles during the making of the film, Maanayata said, “The film has been a special journey for us in more ways than one. All those who have often labelled him as irresponsible, non-committed and a bad boy must watch this film to see his determination, dedication and commitment. Sanju shot this film during the most vulnerable phase of his life... our lives. He shot uncomplainingly, all those strenuous scenes with the same passion as ever."
